Frederick F. Buechel, Jr. MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and is Joint Replacement Fellowship Trained from The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Frederick Buechel, Jr. specializes in and performs MAKOplasty® Outpatient Robotic Partial Knee Replacement, Total Knee Replacement and Knee Arthroscopy. Dr. Buechel, Jr. also trained under Dr. Buechel Sr. MD who is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Buechel, Jr. MD was the Chairman of Surgery at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, Florida. He was the past Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NCH Healthcare System from 2007-2010, and he was the NCH 2009 COMPASS Award recipient. If the history and imaging reviewed supports the diagnosis for the procedure, Dr. Buechel will discuss this with the patient and an office exam is scheduled to confirm the diagnosis with the surgery to follow, generally the next day. Patients and their families are encouraged to stay in the area for outpatient therapy and evaluation prior to returning home.
